What is a Bunkie?
A bunkie is a small cabin at a cottage or home property for extra space. The model we are giving away has 115 sq. ft on the main floor and 37.77 sq. ft. in the addition. The Loft has 80 sq. ft.
The total footprint of the base of the bunkie is 159.96 sq. ft allowing more flexibility in getting a permit (because it's under 160 sqft).
This bunkie kit is manufactured at our Bunkie Life factory in Rockwood, ON and can be assembled in a few days. It’s easier to make than building from scratch and comes with all the wall-boards, windows and hardware to put it together.
What's it For?
We're famous for helping families add extra space to their cottage or home property so they can host their loved ones in a safe, comfortable and beautiful place.
A bunkie is a multi-purpose structure that can be used for extra guests, an office, storage, Airbnb, studio, a retreat on your property, or anything you need extra space for.
Why the Contest?
This is our 16th time running this contest, and the response is always, "that was so much fun!" This season, I am so excited about giving away our Alcove 160™ Bunkie with Loft.
We know from experience that when your friends and family see your bunkie, they'll love it and want one too!

How Can I Win?
To enter our contest, you must be 18 years of age or older and a resident of CANADA OR USA. Everyone who enters the contest has a chance to win the Grand Prize. You can increase your chance of winning by collecting more points.
What Is Included?
The $24,495 Grand Prize includes the complete Alcove 160 Bunkie Kit:
• The base of the Bunkie is 122.75" W x 140.75″ D. The addition is 82.25" W x 70" D, and the Loft is approx 80 SQ FT
• The loft is 6'10, tall enough to stand up in!
• All logs are kiln-dried premium grade Northern Spruce and are pre-cut, notched and interlocking
• 5 Double pane windows for energy efficiency
• Tongue and groove wooden floorboards and roof boards
• Premium hardware including keyed door handle
• Pressure-treated floor sleepers
• Building instructions (written and video), and build support on the phone and email
• Kit is manufactured in Rockwood, Ontario
What's NOT Included?
• Prize does not include installation. Our bunkie kit can usually be installed in a few days with family & friends as a fun bonding experience!
When Do You Announce Winner?
• Contest runs until January 31st, 2026, 5 PM EST.
