Do you need extra space? The bunkie is a perfect solution. Whether it be at your cottage or home, our bunkies can be assembled in a few days and will provide you with 99 – 220 square feet of extra living space. It’s easier to assemble (than building from scratch) and it comes with all the necessary hardware needed to put it together.

Our bunkies are ideal for a cottage bunkie, backyard bunkie, home office, studio or anything you need extra space for. We were featured on Dragons Den and are the only business in history to receive offers from all 5 Dragons.

We built our first bunkie in 2015. We loved it so much, we built five more. Now, we manufacture the best bunkies at our factory in Rockwood, Ontario and ship across Canada and USA. We hope you will enjoy them as much as our clients do.

Why Build a Bunkie

Bunkies are the best way to build extra space on your cottage or home property.

You can have extra space for guests, a home office, studio, or a private getaway to enjoy your favourite area of your property. You could also turn your bunkie into an Airbnb to earn extra money.

A bunkie is a great place for extra space, a getaway for family or friends, a studio, private spot for writing or reading, and grandkids, families and friends love them!

“We built a bunkie because we needed the extra space for visiting family. We also plan to rent it out as it sits on 60 acres of wooded farmland.”

“I started looking at my options for extra space. I realized that building an addition would be too expensive and time-consuming. A bunkie seemed like the perfect solution, so I ordered and built it in the fall of 2021.”

“We love our backyard and being home, but sometimes we still want to get away. We built the Rockwood Bunkie because we thought it would be a perfect little getaway and a “home away from home.”

The possibilities are endless, and the best part is you can build a bunkie in a few days.

Awesome team, great product, exceptional customer service. Both times I called for clarification or advice while building, the owner himself answered and took the time to explain everything as well as follow up with email links to videos and further drawings. Super nice people who really stand behind their product and WANT to hear from you. They also follow up to make sure you are loving your bunkie after the build and ask if you have suggestions for improvement or other preferences. It's also great seeing what other customers have done and get further inspiration for your own build. Wonderful down-to-earth, community vibe! Loving my bunkies!

Bunkie Life is really a great company. David and Karrie are consistently friendly, competent and helpful. They responded quickly and thoroughly whenever we had a question, and were very accommodating. No issues with delivery. The cabin itself is exactly as advertised, and we are very happy with it. Would definitely recommend them and may order again in the future!

We purchased the 2019 loft bunkie for additional sleeping space at our cottage on the lake. David was nice enough to spend an hour with us, touring the models he had available on-site. Honestly the delivered product exceeded all my expectations. The wood was straight, clear and planed absolutely true and smooth. All the milling was perfect and the bunkie went up exactly as the instructions pointed out. Perfect joints, perfect fit, and extremely easy to assemble. I wouldn't change a thing, and would have absolute confidence in recommending this product to the Queen of England! Congratulations David on an exceptional product and company.

Bunkie Life commits to delivering high-quality products and transparent communication while specifying
warranty limitations and liability boundaries to ensure mutual understanding.

1. Bunkie Kits

All Bunkie Kits include door, windows, all wall boards, hardware, floor boards, roof boards, and pressure-
treated floor sleepers. Clients are advised to budget for these additional materials as they are necessary

other suitable material. Additional pressure-treated beams or joists (model-dependent) are not included.
b) Finish roofing material (shingles or metal)
c) Stain and Sealant are required but not included.

Bunkie Life reserves the right to make small changes, upgrades, and improvements to models as it
deems necessary.

2. Permits View Document

The Client agrees to pursue all necessary permits (if applicable) and is solely responsible for ensuring
compliance with local rules, regulations, codes, and bylaws. Bunkie Life assumes no liability for non-

before shipping for destinations outside Ontario.

5. Delivery

Delivery is completed by a third-party carrier. All objects that could be in the way of the truck/offloading
equipment must be moved before delivery. The varying weather and firmness of the ground can
complicate delivery; therefore, the site must be prepared accordingly. Bunkie Life is not liable for
damages on delivery, including property, grass, or yard damage. Bunkie Life reserves the right to delay
delivery based on supply chain issues and production. If you cannot accept your bunkie delivery within
the calendar year you indicated when placing your order, the bunkie cost may need to be adjusted to
accommodate lumber pricing at the time.

5.1 Site Preparation:
Clients are responsible for ensuring that the delivery site meets the following requirements:

a) A minimum road width and clearance height suitable for large trucks and offloading equipment.
b) Ground firmness to support heavy equipment and prevent damage.

promptly via email or phone. Clients are expected to respond within 48 hours to reschedule delivery if
necessary.

hotel rooms, mileage, travel expenses, rental equipment, contractor fees, lost time, and wages.

delivery date, the delivery cost will be forfeited unless a replacement booking is secured.

before the confirmed loading date, Bunkie Life reserves the right to deduct the original shipping cost from
the refund. If no shipping amount is listed on the invoice, the cost will be deemed to not exceed $1,500
USD or CAD, depending on the region.

5.6 Freight Forwarders

Use of a third-party freight forwarder or delivery service outside of Bunkie Life’s approved shipping
locations will void any product warranty and release Bunkie Life from all liability related to damage, loss,

or defects incurred during or after transport. Bunkie Life build support is available – fees will apply for
replacements.

such as humidity, temperature changes, exposure to direct sunlight or improper storage or installation.
This applies to all wooden components including
doors and windows. The qualities listed here are
considered normal and do not affect structural integrity and are not considered defects in material or
workmanship. We strongly recommend that all wood components be properly stained and sealed upon
installation.

import/export regulations. In the event of such delays, Bunkie Life will provide timely communication to
clients regarding the nature and expected duration of the disruption.

13. Release of Liability

Bunkie Life is not liable for any issues, damages, or defects that arise from the purchase of extra parts,
