Bunkie Life's Refund Policy
Bunkie Life – Terms & Conditions
The Bunkie Life Agreement outlines the terms and conditions governing the purchase, delivery, installation, and maintenance of Bunkie Life products. By agreeing to this document, clients accept their responsibilities regarding permits, payments, site preparation, and adherence to maintenance guidelines. Bunkie Life commits to delivering high-quality products and transparent communication while specifying warranty limitations and liability boundaries to ensure mutual understanding.
1. Bunkie Kits
All Bunkie Kits include doors, windows, all wall boards, hardware, floor boards, roof boards, and pressure-treated floor sleepers. Clients are advised to budget for these additional materials as they are necessary for the structure’s longevity and functionality:
a) A level foundation made from deck blocks, cinder blocks, sonotubes, helical piles, concrete pad, or other suitable material. Additional pressure-treated beams or joists (model-dependent) are not included.
b) Finish roofing material (shingles or metal).
c) Stain and sealant are required but not included.
Weather Damage Disclaimer:
Bunkie Life is not liable for any damage caused by weather events or environmental conditions (including but not limited to wind, snow, rain, flooding, or temperature extremes) occurring after the bunkie has been constructed. The customer is responsible for ensuring proper maintenance, sealing, site preparation, and protection suitable for local climate conditions. Bunkie Life is not responsible for damage resulting from inadequate protection, drainage, or maintenance.
Bunkie Life reserves the right to make small changes, upgrades, and improvements to models as it deems necessary.
2. Permits
The client agrees to pursue all necessary permits (if applicable) and is solely responsible for ensuring compliance with local rules, regulations, codes, and bylaws. Bunkie Life assumes no liability for non-compliance.
3. Alterations & Modifications
Any alterations, modifications, or additions to a kit’s standard design must be approved by a certified engineer to ensure safety and compliance. Failure to do so will void any warranties.
4. Payment
Payment can be made via cash, money transfer, direct bank transfer, Bitcoin, or credit card.
Credit card transactions incur a 3.5% fee for CAD payments and a 2.9% fee for USD payments.
A deposit is required to place an order into production. Final payment is due 7 days before delivery for Ontario clients and before shipping for destinations outside Ontario.
5. Delivery
Delivery is completed by a third-party carrier. All objects that could obstruct the truck or offloading equipment must be moved before delivery.
The varying weather and firmness of the ground can complicate delivery; therefore, the site must be prepared accordingly.
Bunkie Life is not liable for damages on delivery, including property, grass, or yard damage. Bunkie Life reserves the right to delay delivery based on supply chain issues and production.
If you cannot accept your bunkie delivery within the calendar year indicated when placing your order, the bunkie cost may need to be adjusted to accommodate lumber pricing at the time.
5.1 Site Preparation
Clients are responsible for ensuring that the delivery site meets the following requirements:
A minimum road width and clearance height suitable for large trucks and offloading equipment.
Ground firmness to support heavy equipment and prevent damage.
5.2 Notification of Delays
In the event of a delay caused by force majeure events or supply chain disruptions, clients will be notified promptly via email or phone. Clients are expected to respond within 48 hours to reschedule delivery if necessary.
5.3 Consequential Damages
Bunkie Life is not responsible for any consequential charges due to delays, including but not limited to hotel rooms, mileage, travel expenses, rental equipment, contractor fees, lost time, and wages.
5.4 Delivery Delays
If a delivery is delayed by the client with less than 7 days’ notice of the mutually agreed-upon delivery date, the delivery cost will be forfeited unless a replacement booking is secured.
5.5 Free Shipping Promotions Terms & Conditions
Shipping-Related Promotions Affected:
USA: Delivery via 72-foot truck with client self-offload, or free white-glove delivery if specified.
Canada (Outside Ontario): Free depot pick-up at designated locations.
Ontario: Free delivery within 4 hours of Rockwood, ON.
If the client delays delivery by less than 7 days from the confirmed loading date, Bunkie Life reserves the right to charge a rescheduling fee.
If the client cancels or requests a refund less than 7 days before the confirmed loading date, Bunkie Life reserves the right to deduct the original shipping cost from the refund.
If no shipping amount is listed on the invoice, the cost will be deemed to not exceed $1,500 (USD or CAD, depending on the region).
5.6 Freight Forwarders
Use of a third-party freight forwarder or delivery service outside of Bunkie Life’s approved shipping locations will void any product warranty and release Bunkie Life from all liability related to damage, loss, or defects incurred during or after transport.
Bunkie Life build support is available — fees will apply for replacements.
6. Refund Policy
In-Season Refunds (January to August): Available within 14 days of deposit payment, less applicable fees.
Off-Season Refunds (September to December): Available within 7 days of deposit payment, less applicable fees.
Outside the specified refund windows, refunds are contingent on Bunkie Life selling the product(s) to a new client (“Sell Through” process). Clients may expedite this process by accepting a 15% cancellation fee in addition to any applicable transaction fees.
Custom orders and discontinued models are subject to specific refund restrictions as outlined.
Bunkie Life reserves the right to cancel any order at any time and provide a full refund.
Once delivery has taken place or begun, refunds are no longer available.
7. Replace or Repair Hardware Warranty
Bunkie Life offers a 5-Year Repair or Replace Warranty for hardware in all kits.
Clients must contact [email protected] with photos and videos of the issue for troubleshooting before replacement.
Construction must begin within 30 days of delivery.
Damage caused by environmental factors is not included.
8. Wood Expectations & Behavior
Wood is a natural material and may respond to environmental conditions.
Even though our components are made of high-quality wood, they may have minor imperfections such as knots, splinters, warps, bows, cupping, or sap drips.
Wood may expand, contract, or shift due to humidity, temperature, sunlight, or improper storage. These characteristics are normal and not considered defects.
We strongly recommend that all wood components be properly stained and sealed upon installation.
9. Delivery Damage and Missing Parts Policy
Any damage or missing parts claims due to delivery must be reported immediately with photos (before and after unpackaging), no more than 30 days from the day of delivery.
When accepting delivery with a signature, note any mishandling during offloading on the paperwork to properly document potential concealed damage.
Inventory and construction within 30 days of delivery are required.
9.1 Claim Process
Clients must complete the inventory list and report discrepancies to [email protected] before building.
Photographic evidence and a completed inventory sheet are required to assess replacement needs.
Bunkie Life reserves the right to determine eligibility for replacement or repair. Extra boards are provided in each kit to help mitigate delays.
9.2 Shipping Replacements
Replacements will be shipped if deemed necessary. Wait times vary based on location and logistics availability.
9.3 Environmental Damage
Bunkie Life is not responsible for weather, insect, or environmental damage if kits are left unassembled after delivery.
10. Safety and Liability
The client assumes responsibility for personal and third-party safety during the build process.
It is advised to use protective gear and follow all installation instructions.
Bunkie Life products must be used in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Clients are responsible for vetting and coordinating installers directly.
Bunkie Life assumes no liability for installation quality or related disputes.
12. Force Majeure
Bunkie Life is not responsible for delays or non-performance caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, or import/export changes.
Clients will be notified promptly regarding any delays and their expected duration.
13. Release of Liability
Bunkie Life is not liable for any issues, damages, or defects arising from the purchase of extra parts, doors, or windows used outside standard assembly instructions.
Clients assume full responsibility for such modifications and release Bunkie Life from all claims related thereto.
14. Maintenance Requirements
Clients agree to adhere to all maintenance instructions provided by Bunkie Life following deposit payment. Failure to do so releases Bunkie Life from liability for resulting damages or defects.
